"I founded this club to champion diversity, recognizing that it brings fresh perspectives, fosters understanding, and ultimately strengthens our community. From the LGBTQ+ community to our Allies, I truly believe there’s immense power in embracing our differences but also celebrating unity through the sport we all love—soccer. I love playing with our club members and seeing the connections they build, both on and off the pitch, as well as the many ways the sport has brought us together."

"I started playing soccer in the NOVA area as a way to make friends after recently moving here, and it’s been incredible to become part of such a welcoming soccer community. As the Director of Communications, I get to combine my passion for soccer with fostering connections within the club and our community at large. Sharing our journey and values through various media has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.
When I’m not on the field or working with the team, I enjoy being social with friends, diving into anime, or exploring thought-provoking documentaries."

Football (soccer) has been my favorite sport since childhood. No matter where I was, as long as I had a ball and space to play, my friends and I were always on the field. I began as a goalkeeper, then moved to defense, and eventually became a midfielder — and it’s been an incredibly fulfilling journey to date. So much so that I’ve made it my mission to give back the knowledge I've gained to players. Since volunteering at NOVA Pride FC, I’ve always been eager to help others develop their skills. It’s been so rewarding to watch players grasp new concepts, apply them during games, have fun and improve over time. I absolutely adore my soccer family, and if you’re looking for a club to call home, come join us and let's have a good time on and off the pitch!

"I love the beautiful game and grew up watching and playing soccer/football at all levels throughout the local area. I was introduced to this club through a partnership connection with Nova Pride FC. The club is a positive and supportive environment that focuses on building a strong community while providing a safe and welcoming space for everyone. The board members are amazing, and being part of this club has been a wonderful experience for me.
Outside of soccer, I am a college student studying sports management. I also enjoy playing video games in my free time. I’m excited to continue the work of being director of communications and contribute to the club."

"I am a passionate advocate for creating supportive spaces where queer people can thrive. Over the years, I've worked in the service industry managing, planning and hosting events where I empower others to celebrate our community. I absolutely love bringing people together and I am beyond excited to add my experience to the NOVA Pride Board and help continue building our community.
When I am not cheering on our club from the sidelines, you can find me in a pilates class, traveling, reading a new book, writing poetry and just being outside with nature!"

I’ve been in love with fútbol (soccer) since I was a kid, playing with my friends in the street in south/central Mexico. When I moved to America as a teenager, playing on my high school soccer team was my way of connecting with other kids for the first time, and finding community. I was an All-City center-back in Philadelphia all 3 years I played for The Academy At Palumbo, go Griffins!
My first job was also as a coach for the u8 kids at Kensington Soccer Club in North Philly, while also playing for the u19’s there and earning silver at a Pennsylvania Youth Cup!
Besides playing, I follow the game passionately, and am a season ticket holder at the Philadelphia Union, where you can find me most weekends during the season.
I joined NOVA Pride FC as a player after moving to Alexandria in 2024, and once again looking for community. I’ve been so proud to represent the club in a few leagues and tournaments so far. I’m also happy to be able to help support the club and its programming as part of the board as well as on the field, always putting teamwork first!
